2. Scope and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions (Conditions Generales de Vente) govern all subscriptions purchased through geographyalltheway.com. By completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms in full.

These terms apply to both individual consumers and educational institutions purchasing in a professional capacity. Where specific provisions apply only to consumers or only to professional buyers, this is clearly stated.

3. Description of Services

geographyalltheway.com provides online educational resources for IB Diploma Programme Geography. A subscription grants access to lesson materials, case studies, revision resources, interactive content, and other educational materials published on the site during the subscription period.

Content is delivered digitally through the website. No physical goods are supplied.

4. Subscription Plans

4.1 Individual Subscription — €40 per year (including applicable VAT)

  • Grants full access to all site content for one user at a time.
  • The subscription is personal and non-transferable.
  • Only one device session may be active at any given time. Concurrent access from multiple locations is not permitted.

4.2 Whole School Subscription — €120 per year (including applicable VAT)

  • Grants full access to all site content for an unlimited number of teachers and students within a single educational establishment.
  • Access is limited to members of the subscribing school. Sharing login credentials or access with individuals outside the school is not permitted.

4.3 General Subscription Terms

  • All subscriptions run for a fixed period of one year from the date access is granted.
  • Subscriptions are one-time annual payments. There is no automatic renewal. At the end of the subscription period, access ends and a new subscription must be purchased to continue.
  • Content and features available may change during the subscription period as materials are updated, added, or revised.

5. Prices and Payment

5.1 Prices

All prices are displayed inclusive of applicable VAT (TTC — toutes taxes comprises). The final price, including any applicable VAT, is shown before payment is confirmed.

5.2 VAT Treatment

VAT is applied in accordance with EU rules on the supply of digital services:

  • France: French VAT at 20%
  • EU consumers (B2C) without a VAT number: VAT at the rate applicable in the customer's country of residence
  • EU businesses (B2B) with a valid VAT number: 0% (reverse charge mechanism applies — the buyer is responsible for declaring VAT in their own country)
  • United Kingdom: VAT at 20%
  • Rest of the world (outside EU and UK): 0% — no VAT applied

Professional buyers within the EU must provide a valid VAT number at the time of purchase to benefit from the reverse charge. VAT numbers are verified before the exemption is applied.

5.3 Payment Methods

Payment may be made by:

  • Stripe — credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or SEPA direct debit
  • PayPal
  • Bank transfer — available on request; an invoice will be issued

Payment is due at the time of purchase. Access is granted once payment has been received and confirmed.

6. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers Only)

This section applies to individual consumers within the European Union. It does not apply to purchases made by educational institutions or other organisations acting in a professional capacity.

Under EU consumer law, you have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 calendar days of the transaction, without giving any reason, and to receive a full refund.

However, because geographyalltheway.com provides digital content that is accessible immediately upon purchase, you will be asked at checkout to:

  1. Consent to immediate access to the digital content before the 14-day withdrawal period has expired; and
  2. Acknowledge that by doing so, you waive your right of withdrawal.

If you give this consent and access the content, the right of withdrawal no longer applies, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Code de la consommation.

If you do not consent to immediate access, the 14-day withdrawal period applies from the date of purchase. To exercise your right of withdrawal, contact us at richard@geographyalltheway.com with a clear statement of your decision.

7. Refund Policy

7.1 Individual Subscriptions

If you have purchased an Individual Subscription and your login credentials have never been used within 14 days of purchase, you are entitled to a full refund upon request, regardless of whether the withdrawal right has been waived.

Once access has been used, refunds are not available except in cases of non-conformity (see Section 8).

7.2 Whole School Subscriptions

Refund requests for Whole School Subscriptions are considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of geographyalltheway SASU.

7.3 Non-Conformity

Refunds or remedies for non-conformity of digital content are provided as required by law (see Section 8).

8. Legal Guarantee of Conformity (Consumers Only)

This section applies to individual consumers within the European Union.

In accordance with Articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Code de la consommation, digital content supplied must conform to the contract and meet reasonable expectations of quality and functionality. This legal guarantee cannot be excluded or limited.

If the digital content does not conform — for example, if the content described is not accessible, is materially incomplete, or does not function as described — you have the right to request that the content be brought into conformity. If this is not possible or is not carried out within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to a price reduction or a full refund.

9. Account Rules and Fair Use

9.1 Individual Subscriptions

Your account is for your personal use only. You may not share your login credentials with others. Only one active session is permitted at a time.

9.2 Whole School Subscriptions

Access is for use within the subscribing educational establishment only. Credentials may be shared among teachers and students of that school but must not be distributed to individuals outside the institution.

9.3 Credential Sharing Detection

We use technical measures, including IP address and geolocation monitoring, to detect credential sharing that falls outside the permitted use of your subscription type. If we detect use that is inconsistent with your subscription terms, we may contact you for clarification.

9.4 Account Suspension or Termination

If we reasonably determine that an account is being used in breach of these terms — including but not limited to credential sharing, redistribution of content, or commercial misuse — we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the account without refund. Where practicable, we will notify you and give you the opportunity to address the issue before termination.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on geographyalltheway.com — including text, images, videos, interactive materials, worksheets, and other resources — is the intellectual property of geographyalltheway SASU or is used under licence. Content is licensed, not sold.

10.1 Permitted Use

During your active subscription period, you may:

  • Access and use the content for personal educational purposes (Individual Subscription)
  • Access and use the content for teaching and learning within your school (Whole School Subscription)
  • Display materials in classroom settings
  • Direct students to access materials on the site

10.2 Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute content in any form
  • Download content for the purpose of sharing or redistribution
  • Upload content to other platforms, learning management systems, or file-sharing services
  • Use content for any commercial purpose
  • Remove or alter any copyright notices

10.3 After Subscription Ends

When your subscription expires, your licence to access the content ends. You must not continue to use, store, or distribute any content obtained during the subscription period beyond what is permitted by applicable copyright law.

11. Age Requirement

Individual Subscriptions are available to users aged 15 or older. If you are under 15, a parent or guardian must make the purchase on your behalf.

For Whole School Subscriptions, the subscribing institution is responsible for ensuring appropriate supervision and compliance with applicable data protection laws when students under 15 access the site. The school is the data controller for its students' use of the service.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website. By using the site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

For Whole School Subscriptions, where the school provides student access, the school acts as data controller and is responsible for ensuring that any required parental consents or legal bases for processing student data are in place.

13. Service Availability

We use reasonable endeavours to keep geographyalltheway.com available and accessible. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The site may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We are not liable for any loss arising from temporary unavailability of the service.

14. Force Majeure

geographyalltheway SASU shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure failures, pandemics, or utility outages.

15. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.

Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.

For EU consumers: Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Where the laws of your country provide greater protection than French law, those protections continue to apply.

16. Dispute Resolution

16.1 Direct Resolution

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at richard@geographyalltheway.com. We will do our best to resolve the matter promptly.

16.3 EU Online Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for consumers who wish to resolve a dispute arising from an online purchase. The platform is available at:

17. Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Changes do not apply retroactively to subscriptions already in force. The version of the terms in effect at the time of your purchase governs your subscription for its duration, unless you accept updated terms.

The current version of these terms is always available on our website.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if that is not possible, it shall be severed. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
