Task 2

The individual version

  1. Individually produce a table that assesses at least four of the solutions listed below. You should add the table to your notes document created for this unit.
  2. The table should allow you to clearly make notes using the following criteria:
    • The geographical processes the solution impacts
    • The issue(s) that the solution (could) solve
    • The likelihood of success - you will need to come up with a scale or similar
    • A simplified, annotated diagram that explains the solution
  3. Justify which solution to mitigating the impacts of climate change upon glaciers is the most likely to give meaningful results within the next 10 years.

The group work version

  1. In groups of 3 or 4 students, collaboratively produce a table that assesses all of the solutions listed below. Each students needs a copy of the document produced so either work online using a service such as Google Documents or ensure that every student has a copy of any hand written notes.
  2. The document should allow the group to clearly make notes using the following criteria:
    • The geographical processes the solution impacts
    • The issue(s) that the solution (could) solve
    • The likelihood of success - you will need to come up with a scale or similar
    • A simplified, annotated diagram that explains the solution
    • An other criteria chosen by the group
  3. Justify which solution to mitigating the impacts of climate change upon glaciers is the most likely to give meaningful results within the next 10 years.
