  • The ski village at Rifugio Sapienza was built in the 1950s.
  • Despite its southerly location in the warm and sunny Mediterranean Mount Etna often receives deep winter snows down to 1800 metres and below.
  • At Rifugio Sapienza there are three existing lifts: one telecabine, one chairlift and one drag lift.
  • Mount Etna enjoys a profitable summer season.
