Extreme environments concept corners
Concept corners are like mini-concept maps. The challenge is to link all the elements together on the sheet. Bottom left to bottom right, top left and top right, etc. You must explain the connection to each link. Try to add examples where possible.
Extreme environments revision clock
Revision clocks are an auditing approach. It takes a unit of work broken down into logical chunks. The challenge is for the user to write all their knowledge and understanding into each section, in turn, within a certain time limit. I give my students 90 seconds or 2 minutes per section to write all they know/understand. Repeat until the whole clock has been done. We then review any 'gaps' and address these in a different pen colour.
