  • Describe global population growth including the present size of the world's population and the changes in its rate of change over time.
  • Describe and link Birth Rate, Death Rate, Natural Increase and Natural Decrease and relate their relative levels to countries of different levels of development.
  • Produce and interpret population pyramids. Relate the shape of population pyramids to levels of development and aging / youthful populations.
  • Show an understanding of population density.
  • Discuss the reasons for why people migrate.
  • Classify resources as being either finite/non-renewable or flow/renewable.
  • Discuss their ecological footprint, the ecological footprint of people in other countries and how their ecological footprint could be reduced.
