When and Who Geography?

Geography Starter

The 'When' in geography is very important. It might be when a volcano last erupted or could be when a new company is going to open in a town. Time in another element of 'when' - an earthquake that happens in the middle of the night can have a different impact to one that happens in the middle of the morning.

'Who' in geography is who might be causing something to happen or who is affected by it happening. An earthquake of a certain magnitude may affect one or two people in a rich country but several thousand in a poor country.
