I will be moving to Geneva at the start of August and am getting very excited about a new area to explore – as a Geographer, as a teacher looking for fieldwork opportunities and an outdoor person who likes to walk, bike and climb.

The video above was produced by a paragliding friend of a friend and show the Le Salève – a limestone mountain just to the south of Geneva.

There is a cable car to the summit, walks, VTT (MTB) routes and climbing to be enjoyed all within 30 minutes drive of where we will be living.Similar Posts:

It’s Tuesday and I’m still a little tired from an excellent weekend spent in the Pyrenees.  I spent the weekend with 16 friends and colleagues from IST walking in the area around the Refuge du Rulhe (2185 metres).  On Saturday we walked up to the refuge dumped any extra kit and then climbed Pic du [...]]]>

It’s Tuesday and I’m still a little tired from an excellent weekend spent in the Pyrenees.  I spent the weekend with 16 friends and colleagues from IST walking in the area around the Refuge du Rulhe (2185 metres).  On Saturday we walked up to the refuge dumped any extra kit and then climbed Pic du Rulhe (2783 metres).  After spending a fun night in the refuge we walked back to the valley via the Crête des Isards.

I hope to add a Google Earth file of the route over the next couple of days.
