geogalot is my blog about the use of ICT in Geography education and updates made to my online geography resources website - geographyalltheway.com.
This blog replaces geographyalltheway Updates. The name ‘geogalot’ was invited by one of my IB Geography students was used for an earlier forum project but now it is home for this blog and my ramblings.
Who am I?

My name is Richard Allaway and I am author of geographyalltheway.com and the Head of Geography at the International School of Toulouse, France.
I qualified with a degree in Environmental Geoscience (BSc) from Sheffield University before completing a PGCE in Sheffield. I spent four and half years teaching geography and undertaking various pastoral roles at New Mills School and Sixth Form Centre, Derbyshire, UK until 2005. I now live in Toulouse, France with my wife Anest and son.
I love to spend my spare time in the mountains - skiing, rock climbing, trekking etc. I am an International Mountain Leader, which allows me to operate as an Accompagnateur en Montagne.

The aim of geographyalltheway.com is to provide online geography resources, worksheets revision and lessons for geography teachers and students at Key Stage 3, MYP, GCSE, IGCSE, AS, A2 and IB Geography level.
